Bathroom
  • Provide a picture schedule of the bathroom sequence (pants down, pants up, wash hands, dry hands, trash) along with other needed vocabulary for the child to use while in the bathroom.

  • Provide a method for the child to say:
    • "Please help me."
    • "All done."
    • "I need to wash my hands."
    • "I need to go potty."
    • "Hurry?"

Snack

  • Provide choices of snack or drink options.

  • Provide a way for the child to talk about the color, taste, texture, size, and/or shape of the food.

  • Use a switch to operate a toy car or truck that delivers the snack of the day to friends at the table.

  • Provide a means for the child to say:
    • "Time for me to eat."
    • "I don't want any more." "I want more."
    • "Something smells good."
    • "All done"
    • Please pass the              ."
    • "May I be excused?"
    • What did do you do last night?"
    • "That tastes good! / That tastes yucky!"
    • "Can I sit by (John)?"
