  • Designate one area as the peer interaction center

  • Limit space up to 10' by 10'

  • Develop boundaries

  • Identify toys and materials that will only be available in the center

  • Use toys and materials that require two or more partners

  • Adapt materials and space to accommodate all children

  • Allow 2-4 children in the area at one time

  • Rotate materials and partners

  • Limit time in center, prompt all children to play in the center
