Plans for transportation to and from the site where children will receive their special education services should be written in their Individual Education Program (IEP's). Often, school districts provide transportation as a related service to the family and the child. However, if it is not documented on the Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) or IEP, districts and special education cooperatives are not responsible for the payment of transportation.
