Lleana, from Raintree
replied:
My role has not changed as it pertains to the children. My role has changed
as it pertains to the increased number of service providers, adults, in
the classroom. I have become more tolerant. Inclusion has helped me become
a better administrator. It has opened our doors to many people, adults,
children, and professionals, who may not have sought out a Montessori
school before and from the inclusion of so many different people (occupational
therapists, physical therapists, speech therapists) we have learned a
lot. The effect has made us better because we have teachers and many people
asking questions that we need to answer.

My job title changed from Education and Disabilities Coordinator with
Head Start to Preschool Coordinator with the blended program. This added
four more sessions with two more teachers to my responsibilities. Therefore,
I was responsible for overseeing more IEP's which means more paperwork.
I spend more time on administrative duties and have to organize my time
in order to spend time observing.
Diane, from Bryan
replied:
I've always felt that we looked at children with individual needs, and
when you think of it that way, all children have special needs. Thus
my role hasn't really changed.
